Elefantino is a portable device that can filter, dechlorinate and soften the water. It’s made-up of a filter that removes suspended solids, chlorine, bad odors, and insecticides; and an ion exchange softener that removes calcium carbonates residuals. The volume of water treated with Elefantino depends on the hardness (° F) of the incoming water. The diagram below shows the amount of water that Elefantino can soften in relation to the hardness. Based on this data we can easily decide when to regenerate. (Ex: hardness of 30 ° F, regeneration is done every 1000 litres of treated water).
